In order to electronically file tax returns, the IRS requires that TaxSlayer Pro receive a copy of your EFIN Application Summary (EAS). The EAS can be obtained by logging in to your IRS e-services Account.
If your EFIN is currently locked because we have not received a copy of your EFIN Application Summary, please follow these steps to obtain a copy and email it to TaxSlayer Pro:
1. Navigate to irs.gov and click Tax Pros in the top right corner.
2. Select Access E-Services. Select E-file Provider Services. You must have an ID.me Account to log in.
3. Select Access e-file Application and log in using the option that pertains to your account.
4. Verify the online security information and select Continue.
5. Select your organization (you may be asked to agree to updated Terms of Service after selecting your organization), then select the icon to View/Edit.
6. Select Print, and save the summary as a PDF.
Important: Before saving, examine the setting for Scaling to ensure the page is being printed as "Fit" or "100%". If it's scaled above 100% the right margin may cut off. After saving and before sending it to us, view the PDF and examine the right margin to ensure no information is being cut off, for example, the firm information on the first page.
After you have saved a PDF of your EAS, please email it to prodocs@taxslayer.com. Your document will be reviewed and your account will be unlocked, usually within 24 hours. If you have questions, please contact our sales department directly at 888.420.1040.
