In TaxSlayer Pro, if you are preparing a return that you don't want others in the tax office to see, such as your personal return, you can mark the return private.
Marking a return private involves assigning a password to the return so that anyone who wishes to open the return must supply the password you set. After marking a return private the SSN/EIN, Fees Charged, and Fees Paid are masked in the Client List.
When marking a return private, use a password that will be easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess. The program does not offer password hints to help you recall the password in case you forget.
