There are many occasions when TaxSlayer Pro communicates with our servers over the internet, e.g., during the initial configuration, when transmitting a return and receiving acknowledgements, getting program updates, and getting fees and other bank product information.
If you use a virtual private network (VPN), you may encounter this error during the initial configuration of the program:
Unable to contact Customer Verification Server.
An error such as this is typically resolved by disabling the VPN, however if you continue to receive the error after having disabled the VPN please give us a call so that we can make a ticket for our tech support team to assist.
