A taxpayer or state may request a copy of the state transmission and acknowledgment. There are a few ways to print a copy of the state transmission and acknowledgement.
Screenshot the State Acknowledgement
To print a copy of the state transmission and acknowledgement, from the Quick Menu of TaxSlayer Pro select;
- Client Status
- Enter the SSN or search the Client list for the taxpayer.
- Select the State tab.
- Take a screen shot, using a Snipping Tool. Print the acknowledgment from the screen shot taken.
- Alternatively, press CTRL + ALT + Print Screen on the keyboard and paste (CTRL + V) into document or paint to print screenshot

Note: Not all states return this information, so any missing information is likely due to the state not providing it.
Account Hub Client Status
An alternative option to printing a screenshot, is to log in to the Account Hub to print the Client Status webpage. Click here for more info on Client Status in Account Hub.
State Acknowledgement Report
To print a state acknowledgment report for the client, do the following:
1. Rehang State Acknowledgement
From the Quick Menu select:
- E-File
- E-File Utilities
- Request Acknowledgement Rehang - Check the box for State Acknowledgment.
- More Options - From the dropdown menu select Rehang by Tax ID number.
- Check the box for the client, then select Ok.
2. Print State Acknowledgement Report
Receive the state acknowledgement. From the Quick Menu select:
- E-file
- Receive Acknowledgements Only
- In the TaxSlayer Pro Communications window, select Connect.
- The messages in the window will indicate if any acknowledgements are being received. When you are prompted to exit, select Exit.
- If the Print Reports menu has double arrows (>>) beside it, select it, then select any State Acknowledgments and print the generated report
Note: Acknowledgements can only be received for the current and three prior years.
