In TaxSlayer Pro, you might receive a message like this when attempting to transmit a tax return:
Your EFIN number is not in our system, please contact TaxSlayer Pro
There are two reasons why this might occur.
Incorrect transmitter's EFIN
This message could indicate the transmitter's EFIN in the program configuration is incorrect.
To correct this problem, from the Quick Menu of TaxSlayer Pro select:
- Configuration
- Electronic Filing / Bank Setup
- Transmitter's EFIN - Enter the correct EFIN.
Bank partner specified but not approved
This message could indicate that the ERO has a bank partner specified in the program configuration but they aren't approved to offer bank products for the program year.
To correct this problem, from the Quick Menu of TaxSlayer Pro select:
- Configuration
- Electronic Filing / Bank Setup
- Bank Setup Menu
- Bank Used for Bank Products - Change to "Currently Not Offering Bank Products".
