No. Once you have submitted the taxpayer's bank application to the bank, you cannot make changes to the application and resubmit it.
However, TaxSlayer Pro can assist in changing and resubmitting the bank application to the bank, including correcting a rejected application and in certain cases making changes to an accepted application.
Note: Once the IRS has paid the taxpayer's refund, it is sent to the bank and TaxSlayer Pro cannot make any changes to the bank application.
Not every aspect of a bank application can be modified, and there are some things we cannot change:
- Bank Routing or Account Number - TaxSlayer Pro cannot change or update the Routing or Account Number on Direct Deposit bank applications. If you have submitted a bank application with an invalid or incorrect RTN/Account Number, or if the taxpayer has new bank account information, we can switch the bank product to a check to avoid the refund being sent back to the IRS.
- Pre-Ack Loan to Advance - TaxSlayer Pro cannot change a pre-ack loan to a regular advance after the bank application has been submitted. The bank will either approve or deny the pre-ack loan. If the pre-ack loan is denied, the loan will be processed as a regular advance after the pre-ack period ends.
- Fees - TaxSlayer Pro cannot change the fee amounts charged on the bank application after it has been approved by the bank. The bank application, including the fee breakdown, is signed by the taxpayer before the application is sent to the bank. (If TaxSlayer Pro were to modify the fees, it could not apply the taxpayer's signature to the updated fee breakdown.) Please ensure your fees are accurate before transmitting a return.
