In your TaxSlayer Pro bank enrollment application, you have the option to add additional amounts to the transmission fee that is charged by default for all bank product returns. To do this, from the main page of your Account Hub:
- Select Bank Product Information
- Select the bank you are completing the Enrollment Application for and click Begin Application (or Edit Application if you have already started)
- Select Additional Fees
Additional Transmission Fee
You'll be asked, "Would you like to add to your transmission fee?" Select YES in the drop down menu.
After selecting YES, enter the additional fee amount you want to charge, from a minimum of $5 to a maximum of $315. Once you have set the additional amount to charge, read through the agreement, then type your name in the Signature Name field.
TaxSlayer Pro will apply the additional transmission fees collected (less any associated fees) to the renewal of your next year's software, as outlined in our user agreement and will issue the remaining portion to the ERO in the form of a rebate, generally twice a year, in June and in November.
Document Preparation Fee
If you opt in to an additional transmission fee, you will be presented with a second option to charge a document prep fee. The Document Preparation Fee is an additional fee the bank allows the ERO to charge for handling and completing bank applications on tax returns prepared in TaxSlayer Pro. The bank pays this fee directly to the ERO (less any associated bank fees), along with the tax return preparation fees.
The minimum and maximum amount that can be charged for the document prep fee varies by bank and will be outlined on each bank's enrollment application.
Check Administration Fee
The check administration fee is an additional fee that the bank allows the ERO to charge for the printing and handling of bank products disbursed by check. The fees and the rebates vary by bank. The bank pays this fee directly to the ERO (less any associated bank fees), along with the tax return preparation fees.
The amount that can be charged for the check administration fee varies by bank and will be outlined on each bank's enrollment application.
