In TaxSlayer ProWeb, if you don't see an acknowledgement for an electronically filed tax return, there are a couple things you should check before calling TaxSlayer Pro Support.
Check Client Status
The first thing to do if you have not seen an acknowledgement for a return is to check Client Status to ensure the transmission was successful. Client Status can be accessed either from the left-hand side of the Welcome Page or from the Tools dropdown menu for the return in the Client List. See here for more information about Client Status.
Run Reports Related to E-filing
Review transmission-related reports to see if they can provide insight, such as:
- Accepted Returns
- Federal Non-accepted Returns
- State Non-accepted Returns
- IRS Acknowledgements
- State Acknowledgements
- Federal Returns Not Transmitted
- State Returns Not Transmitted
- Validation Errors
To access the Reports in ProWeb, from the Welcome page select Reports, then navigate to Federal or State as needed. If you're not seeing the report you'd like to run, see here for information on adding reports to the Reports menu.
