Refund Advantage/EPS bank application Reject 200 - Taxpayer not verified. Review taxpayer demographic information for errors or typos.
Bank applications that are returned with reject code 200 have failed identity verification with the bank. The tax preparer will need to verify that all of the taxpayer's personal information in the return has been entered correctly, including the taxpayer's (and spouse's, if applicable) name, SSN, date of birth, and street address.
During the pre-ack period, if any of these items were entered incorrectly, the return can be moved back to In Progress so that the information can be corrected and the return can be resent.
Otherwise, if all of the information is verified to be correct, the ERO will need to log in to their account at the bank's website, locate the Document Upload section, and upload the required documents that prove the accuracy of the taxpayer's personal information. A copy of the taxpayer's signed Social Security Card and Proof of Residence are required. TaxSlayer Pro does not need to resubmit the bank application.
For assistance with any aspect of the bank website, or for any additional questions, preparers should contact the bank directly.
