ProWeb: How to Amend Form 1040 to Form 1040-NR

If a taxpayer filed Form 1040 but should have filed Form 1040-NR, you'll need to submit an amended Form 1040-NR. In Form 1040-X, the resident return's information will be entered in the Original column.

TaxSlayer ProWeb does not support deactivating a return that has been transmitted, nor changing the SSN on an accepted return for the purpose of creating a new return with the same SSN, therefore if you filed the original Form 1040 you won't be able to amend it to change it to Form 1040-NR.
