For a tax return that includes Form 8995 or Form 8995-A for the Qualified Business Income Deduction (QBID), TaxSlayer Pro handles the QBID calculation based on the information in the return.
Thus, for an electronically filed return that includes either Form 8995 or 8995-A, you should not see it reject with code R0000-205:
Reject Code: R0000-205 | Category: Math Error | Severity: Reject
If 'QualifiedBusinessIncomeDedAmt' in the return (1040, 1040NR, 1041) has a non-zero value, then it cannot be more than the sum of Form 8995-A, 'DPADSect199AGAllocAgricHortAmt' and the lesser of the QBI Limitation or TXI Limitation.
Most likely, a return receiving this reject has had an amount flowing into the QBID calculation overridden with an adjustment.
In TaxSlayer Pro, open the Qualified Business Income Deduction menu and select the menu lines Taxable Income, Capital Gains, and REIT Dividends, looking for any amount entered that is adjusting the calculated amount. For the calculation to be accurate, any adjustments will need to be removed before retransmitting.
