Form 8300 is not included in TaxSlayer Pro as it is unrelated to a tax return. It is an information return filed by a business with the IRS as needed and separate from the business's tax return.
A trade or business that receives more than $10,000 in cash in a single transaction or in related transactions must file Form 8300, Report of Cash Payments Over $10,000 in a Trade or Business, with the IRS.
Form 8300 must be filed by the 15th day after the date the cash was received, or the next business day if the 15th day falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday. Additionally, Form 8300 must be filed electronically by anyone who must electronically file other information returns such as Forms 1099 or Form W-2, unless they have received a waiver.
