Forum Highlights
Practice Management - Looking for ways to grow or improve your tax business? Maximize your time at the forum by participating in this special Monday session. Tax Forum association partners NAEA, NATP, NSA, NSTP and Padgett will present ideas on how you can attract and manage customers, increase your productivity and have a more satisfying work-life balance. This 90-minute session is open to all paid Tax Forum attendees and does not require any additional pre-registration to attend (subject to capacity limits - spaces offered on a first-come, first-served basis). The session will take place on Monday from 5:00pm - 6:30pm. (No CE credit for attending.)
Continuing Education (CE) Credits - Attendance at the IRS Nationwide Tax Forum qualifies for continuing education (CE) or continuing professional education (CPE) credits for enrolled agents, certified public accountants, Annual Filing Season Program participants, and California Tax Education Council (CTEC) participants. You will need to understand and comply with your licensing agency's CE requirements. Attendance for the full 50 minutes of a presentation is required to receive one CE credit. The seminar schedule allows for a maximum of 19 credits that can be earned at each forum location.
Case Resolution Program - The TAS (Taxpayer Advocate Service) Case Resolution Program offers personalized assistance, available in-person by appointment only, to help you with your toughest case involving an IRS tax matter. IRS and TAS representatives with specialized expertise will be on-site for a one-on-one conversation, conduct thorough research on your case and endeavor to promptly resolve your tax matter. If the case can't be resolved on-site or if more research is needed, the IRS will establish a case in the TAS and request further assistance from the appropriate IRS unit.
Taxpayer Advocate Town Hall - Join the National Taxpayer Advocate for a town hall held during the NTF Networking Reception. This interactive Q&A session provides an opportunity for tax professionals to discuss emerging issues affecting taxpayers and the practitioner community. Participants are welcome to bring refreshments from the reception. Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. (No CE credit for attending.)
Exhibit Hall Hours - Tuesday 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Wednesday 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Lunch is served in the exhibit hall from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, excluding in New York.
