When a taxpayer makes an automatic extension payment to the state of Maryland, the payment amount needs to be included on their Maryland tax return.
To enter the payment made with the Maryland extension on the Maryland individual income tax return in TaxSlayer Pro, from the Maryland Tax Return Menu select:
- Payments & Credits
- Estimated and Extension Tax Payments
- Amount Paid with Extension
