When a taxpayer makes an automatic extension payment to the state of Illinois, the payment amount needs to be included on their Illinois tax return.
To enter the payment made with the Illinois extension on the Illinois individual income tax return in TaxSlayer ProWeb, from the Illinois Return menu select:
- Payments
- Enter any amount paid with extension (Form IL-501-I)
