All military retirement income from the regular Armed Forces, Reserves, National Guard and uniformed services that are not part of the Armed Forces is exempt from West Virginia income tax.
To subtract military retirement pay from the West Virginia individual income tax return in TaxSlayer ProWeb, from the West Virginia Return menu select:
- Subtractions from Income
- Enter eligible Military Retirement Modification - Enter the eligible military retirement as a positive number.
