Ohio reject code OH-PIT-066 indicates the nonresident school district number 9999 has been entered on Form IT 1040 for a resident or part-year resident taxpayer. School district number 9999 can only be entered on a nonresident tax return.
If the taxpayer is a full-year nonresident of Ohio, you'll need to delete and restart the Ohio return, choosing nonresident when asked for the taxpayer's residency status.
Otherwise, if the taxpayer is a full-year or part-year resident of Ohio, you'll need to correct the school district code on Form IT 1040.
To resolve this reject in TaxSlayer Pro, from the Ohio Tax Return Menu select:

- Ohio PUBLIC School District Number - Here you can select the county and school district the taxpayer lived in for most of the year, but ensure the number on the menu line Enter School District Number is not 9999.
Note that the school district code entered in the top portion of Form IT 1040 is separate from Form SD 100, School District Income Tax, the taxpayer may also need to file and the code showing on that form. The school district code entered in the top portion of Form IT 1040 is the one the taxpayer lived in for most of the year.
