Military retirement income is not taxable in New Jersey and should not be included in New Jersey income.
To remove military retirement income from the New Jersey individual tax return in TaxSlayer ProWeb, from the New Jersey Return menu select:
- Income Subject to Tax
- Enter Military Pension, Survivors Benefit Payments... - Enter the eligible military retirement as a negative number.
