Missouri exempts from taxation military retirement benefits that have been included in taxable income reported on the federal return. (This exemption began in tax year 2021.)
To subtract military retirement income from the Missouri individual tax return in TaxSlayer Pro, from the Missouri Tax Return Menu select:
- MO Adjusted Gross Income
- Subtractions from Income
- Military Pension Subtraction - Enter the allowable military retirement income as a positive number.
