Minnesota allows a subtraction of military retirement/pension benefits that are included in federal taxable income on Schedule M1M.
To subtract military retirement income from the Minnesota individual tax return in TaxSlayer ProWeb, from the Minnesota Return menu select:
- Subtractions from Income
- Military Pension or Other Retirement Military Pay - Enter the eligible military retirement as a positive number.
Note: The taxpayer may not claim this subtraction if they claim the Credit for Past Military Service.
