Georgia allows a Military Retirement Income subtraction up to $35,000 as follows:
- Up to $17,500 for taxpayers under age 62.
- Up to an additional $17,500 for taxpayers with more than $17,500 in Georgia earned income.
To subtract military retirement income from the Georgia individual tax return in the TaxSlayer Pro, from the Georgia Tax Return Menu select:
- Subtractions from Federal AGI
- Retirement Exclusion
- Military Retirement Exclusion
- Taxable Military Retirement
- Adjustment to federal amount - Enter the full military retirement income as a positive number.
