A schema is the set of rules describing how the e-filed return data should be organized and validated. A Pennsylvania individual tax return may not pass schema validation if Schedule C is missing information for assets being depreciated.
To correct a validation error related to missing asset information, from the Pennsylvania Tax Return Menu select:
- Pennsylvania Taxable Income
- Business Income or Loss
- PA Schedule C - Select the business.
- Expenses
- Depreciation
- Other Depreciation
- Other Depreciation - For each asset listed, ensure each has something entered in each field:
- Description of Property
- Date Acquired
- Cost or Other Basis
- Depreciation Allowed in Prior Years
- Method of Computing Depreciation
- Life or Rate
- Depreciation
