In TaxSlayer ProWeb, Client Status gives you important information about a tax return such as:
- The status of federal and state transmissions.
- The status of the bank product, if utilized.
- The return's access history, including who worked on the return and the resulting changes to the AGI, the refund or balance due, and preparation fees.
There are two ways to access Client Status from the ProWeb Welcome page:
1. Select Client Status in the left side menu. This will open a separate window.
- Click the info icon next to the taxpayer's name.
- When finished reviewing the information, click the CANCEL button.
2. Select Client Search.
- Locate the taxpayer.
- Click the Tools dropdown menu and select Client Status.
Federal Information
- Filing Status - Displays Filing Status.
- IRS Code - Displays either Accepted or Rejected after the return has been acknowledged by the IRS.
- Return Type - Federal form filed
- Disbursement Method - If a bank product was used, the bank and type; or, for non-bank product returns will show either Direct Debit, Direct Deposit or Electronic Mail.
- Transmitted To IRS - The date and time the return was sent to the IRS.
- Received Ack From IRS - The date and time the IRS acknowledged the return.
- Federal Refund/Balance Due - A positive number is a refund; a negative number is balance due.
- Direct Debit Received - This will show Yes if the disbursement method is Direct Debit.
- Times Sent - The number of times the tax return has been transmitted.
- Federal Ack Outstanding - This will show Yes if the federal ack has not yet been received.
- Submission Id - 20-digit number that uniquely identifies this transmission of this return.
State Information
- State - The state return filed. If there is a drop down menu with multiple states, the remaining information in the State Information section will relate to that state. (You may also see some city tax returns listed here, e.g., NYC.)
- State Code - Displays either Accepted or Rejected after the return has been acknowledged by the State.
- Form Type - The state form filed.
- Disbursement Method - If a bank product was used, the bank and type; or, for non-bank product returns will show either Direct Debit, Direct Deposit or Electronic Mail.
- Transmitted To State - The date and time the return was send to the state.
- Received Ack - The date and time the ack was received from the state.
- Submission ID - 20-digit number that uniquely identifies this transmission of this return.
- Times Sent - The number of times the tax return has been transmitted.
- State Refund/Balance - A positive number is a refund; a negative number is balance due.
- Direct Debit Received - This will show Yes if Disbursement is Direct Debit.
- State Ack Outstanding - This will be Yes if Ack has not been received

Refund, Deposits, and Fees Overview
- Federal Refund - Federal Refund on transmitted return
- State Refund - State Refund on transmitted return
- Total Refund - Total of Federal refund and state refund
- Federal Deposit Received - For returns utilizing a bank product, this is the date the federal deposit was received.
- State Deposit Received - For returns utilizing a bank product, this is the date the state deposit was received.
- All Fees - Bank product Fees.
- Net Refund - For returns that utilize a bank product, this is the taxpayer's refund after all fees are deducted.
Return History
- Federal Transmissions - Information about the federal transmission(s). If you see a plus sign click it to view the reject or alert codes for the transmission.
- State Transmissions - Information about the state transmission(s).
- MeF Status History - Summary information about all the transmissions.
Client Return Audit History
This section logs certain data points about the return when it was last exited, including the date and time; the preparer username; the return's filing status, AGI, Earned Income Credit, if any, the refund or balance due amount; the fees; and the following actions:
- When the return is created
- When the e-file submission page is saved
- When the return is e-filed
- When the return is printed
