File Form FR-127, Extension of Time to File a D.C. Income Tax Return, to request an extension to October 15. A copy of a federal request for extension of time to file is not acceptable. Full payment of any tax liability, less credits, is due with the extension request.
To access the Form FR-127, from the District of Columbia Return menu select:

Note: Electronic filing is not supported for the state extension, it will have to be mailed.
