Mississippi allows an automatic extension to the federal extension due date if no additional Mississippi tax is due. If you are filing the Mississippi return in paper form, be sure to attach a copy of the federal extension request.
An extension of time does not extend the time to pay any tax due. Make extension payments for tax due on or before April 15.
To enter amount paid with extension in TaxSlayer ProWeb, from the Mississippi Return menu select:
- Payments
- Enter Estimated payments and/or amount paid on Original Return
