Maryland allows an automatic extension to October 15 if a federal extension is filed with the IRS and no Maryland tax is due. File Form PV, Personal Tax Payment Voucher, to request an extension to October 15, if no federal extension is filed or tax is due.

To access the Maryland Form PV, Personal Tax Payment Voucher, from the main menu of the Maryland state return, select:

  • Amount Paid with Extension
