Oregon accepts the federal extension by checking the box on the Oregon Form 40. Send payment by April 15 using Form OR-40-V, Oregon Individual Income Tax Payment Voucher and mark the “Extension payment” box on the voucher.
If making the payment online, select the “Estimated payment” option. If an extension is needed for only Oregon, send Form OR-40-V with payment.
To access the Oregon Extension in TaxSlayer ProWeb, from the Oregon Return menu select:
- Miscellaneous Forms
- Extension Payment Voucher
Note: Electronic filing is not supported for the state extension payment. The federal extension payment may be sent electronically, however the state extension payment will have to be mailed.
