ProWeb: How Do I file an Application for Extension of Time to File for Delaware?

Delaware allows an automatic extension to October 15th by filing Form PIT-EXT. The form and payment of any balance of estimated tax liability due must be submitted by May 2.

To access the Delaware PIT-EXT, from the main menu of the Delaware state return select:

  • Miscellaneous Forms
  • Extension Form PIT-EXT

Note: Electronic filing is not supported in ProWeb at this time for the state extension payment. The federal extension payment may be sent electronically, however the state extension payment will have to be mailed.
