In TaxSlayer Pro, the Client Report has a number of filters that can be used to create a report that includes only the individual tax return clients that match the filter or filters chosen.
It's also possible to create a client report listing all your individual tax return clients along with detailed return information suitable for export to your spreadsheet program.
To create a client report listing all your individual tax return clients, from the Quick Menu of TaxSlayer Pro select:
- Reports
- Client Reports - Scroll to the bottom of the filter list and select the last filter line without a description. This filter selects every return in the individual client list.
- Generate Report Type - In the drop down menu select "Export to Microsoft Excel File"
- Click the View button. You'll be asked to confirm that you'd like to print (i.e., create) this report. Click Yes.
- You'll be presented with a list of fields to include in the report. (See below for the list of fields you can select.) You can click the Check All button to include all of them, or select just the ones you wish to include. When finished, click Ok.
- A Windows File Explorer window will open. Verify the directory is where you want to save the report to and change it if desired. The default filename is ClientReports - change it if desired. When you're ready to save the report, click Save.
After having done the above steps, open a Windows File Explorer window, navigate to the directory where you saved the csv file, and double-click it to open it.
