Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an electronic security system that requires two methods of authentication to verify your identity when logging in to an online account. The first method is your username and password. The second method is a security code.
Every 7 days at the most when you log in to TaxSlayer ProWeb you will be prompted to verify your identity using MFA. Occasionally, you may receive the MFA prompt more often, sometimes daily. There are several reasons this might occur:
- Your web browser is configured to clear cache upon exiting, or you manually cleared cache at some point before exiting your last session.
- You are using a different web browser than your last session and you haven't logged into ProWeb on it within 7 days.
- You are logging in on a different PC than your last session and you haven't logged into ProWeb on it within 7 days.
Browser configuration to clear cache upon exiting the browser is here:
