Alabama allows an automatic extension to October 15th without filing an application. To make a payment by mail, use Form 40V, Individual Income Tax Payment Voucher.
To complete Form 40V in TaxSlayer Pro, from the Alabama Return Menu select:
- MISC Forms
- AL Extension
- Amount Paying With Extension
Note: Electronic filing is not supported for the state extension. The federal extension payment may be sent electronically, however the state extension will have to be mailed.
