A validation error beginning with "The 'http://www.irs.gov/efile:MethodUsedToFigureTaxCd' element is invalid" occurs when an electronically filed individual amended return specifies an invalid method used to figure tax on Form 1040-X line 6.

- Edit 1040X Menu
- 20xx Amended Return
- Corrected Column - Selecting this will re-pull the entries into the Correct column of Form 1040-X and will also include the correct method being used to figure the tax.
