If you receive the message above when trying to create a new return, the Customer ID in your ERO setup does not match your EFIN.
To fix this error in your TaxSlayer ProWeb office, select:
- Check if your EFIN number is listed in the ERO Menu
If you do not see your EFIN number listed, it may not have been entered in ERO Setup or it may be set as inactive.
- To see if your EFIN is inactive check View Inactive. This will show a list of all EFINs that were entered in the ERO menu.
- To reactive your EFIN, select:
- Check the Active box:
- Click Continue
- If the EFIN information was never entered in ProWeb, click here for instructions to set up a new ERO.
Note: If you have more than one ERO listed, make sure that the current EFIN is Active and listed as the Default. Only one EFIN can be set as the default.
