Customer ID not found. Please add the Customer ID to the default ERO Profile in configuration settings menu.
If you receive the message above after entering the SSN starting a new return, the Customer ID in the ERO Setup menu does not match your EFIN.
To fix this error in your TaxSlayer ProWeb office, select:
- Configuration
- ERO Setup - Check if your EFIN number is listed in the ERO Menu.
- If you see your EFIN listed, select its Edit button, scroll down, and select the CONTINUE button. Then, reselect to edit the EFIN and you will be able to paste in or enter the Customer ID in its field.
- If you do not see your EFIN listed, it is either inactive or may not have been entered in ERO Setup.
- To see if your EFIN is inactive, check the View Inactive check box. This will change to display the inactive EFINs.
- If the EFIN is listed, to reactivate it select its Edit button, then check the Active check box:
- Select Continue to return to the ERO(s) Menu.
- If the EFIN was never entered in ProWeb ERO configuration, click here for instructions to set up a new ERO record.
Note: If you have more than one ERO listed, make sure that the current EFIN is Active and listed as the Default. Only one EFIN can be set as the default.
