When trying to create a TaxSlayer Pro Employee Account in Account Hub, if you get either of the messages above this means the email and/or cell phone number is already tied to another TaxSlayer Pro account. Below you will find advice on how to remedy these errors.
Does another Employee Account in Account Hub use this same info?
When creating an Employee Account in Account Hub, you are required to enter an email address and cell phone number. If you plan to use that info again, you will need to contact TaxSlayer Pro Support to have the email address and phone number released for multiple use.
Is there a Preparer Account with the same email and/or phone number in your ProWeb office?
When creating a Preparer in your ProWeb, you will see the options "Allow Multiple Accounts to use this Email Address" and "Allow Multiple Accounts to use this Cell Phone". If you plan to use that info again, make sure those check boxes are checked. If there is another preparer within your office using the same email and/or phone number, ensure the check boxes are checked in their Preparer record.
Is the email and/or phone number not in another account you have created?
If you are unable to use an email address or phone number for your preparer, and you have not used that email address or phone number on any other account between ProWeb and Account Hub, contact TaxSlayer Pro Support. It is possible the preparer has an existing TaxSlayer Pro account with a different tax office. TaxSlayer Pro Support will be able to assist in allowing you to use the email and/or phone number for the new Preparer Account.
