If you have a taxpayer who is unable to register for the Customer Portal because their password does not meet the requirements, let them know these are the requirements:
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one number
- At least one of these special characters: @ $ ! % * ? &
- Minimum of 8 characters, maximum of 25 characters
If they are using a password that meets the above requirements and they are trying to register on their cellphone, ask them to complete the portal registration on a computer instead.
