If you have enrolled with Protection Plus through your TaxSlayer Pro Account Hub, you can configure the settings from within the Advanced Fee Setup Menu. From the main menu of TaxSlayer Pro select:
- Configuration
- Fees / Billing Setup
- Advanced Fee Setup
- Additional Fees
Offer Protection Plus will be defaulted to Yes if you have opted in to offer it from within Account Hub.
Protection Plus Default Selection - You can default the Protection Plus selection in every return that you prepare to yes or no, or you can choose to be prompted from within each return to make a yes or no selection.
Protection Plus Additional Fee - The base price to enroll a taxpayer in Protection Plus is $44.95. This fee is automatically deducted from the taxpayer's refund if they select a bank product for their refund disbursement. You must collect this fee up front if the taxpayer does not apply for a bank product.
You can add on an additional fee of up to $50 by selecting the amount from the Protection Plus Additional Fee selection list. The additional fee is paid directly to you and is automatically deducted from the taxpayer's refund if they select a bank product for their refund disbursement.
