TaxSlayer Pro generally knows whether or not you have purchased the Premium package. Enabling the Premium options, such as the business program, Paper Cut, and the ability to receive taxpayer information via the TaxesToGo app and the Customer Portal, is usually a matter of entering the Premium menu in Configuration. (When you enter the menu, you may be asked two questions related to Paper Cut, i.e., your e-mail address and the method to use to send Paper Cut e-mails.) Once you have entered the Premium configuration menu, the Premium package features are usually immediately accessible, though occasionally quitting and restarting the program is needed.
That said, if when entering the Premium configuration menu you are asked for your Premium Activation Code, the code for the current tax year can be obtained by logging in to your TaxSlayer Pro Account Hub.
Once logged in to Account Hub, select Pro Premium in the left side navigation pane and look for the tile titled Activation Code. Copy and paste the code into the TaxSlayer Pro program to enter the Premium configuration menu and enable all of the premium options.
Note that the activation code in Account Hub is for the current tax year only. If you need assistance with the codes for prior years, call your sales representative at 888.420.1040.
