The Database Management section of TaxSlayer Pro is intended to help you track numerous activities pertaining to your clients.
An activity is any venue where your business is promoted, whether directly or indirectly.
Activities include advertising through mailings, radio or television commercials, a yellow page listing, website banner ads, etc. An activity can also include where you know a client from, such as a house of worship or via other business contacts.
When preparing a client's return, you can ask them how they know about your company and include this information in their return. At the end of tax season you can run a report to see which activities brought in the most clients and which ones brought in the least. This information can assist you in your marketing and networking decisions for the next tax season.
