To enter benefits reported on Form RRB-1099-R into TaxSlayer ProWeb, from the Federal Section of the tax return (Form 1040) select:

- Form 1099R, RRB, SSA
- RRB-1099-R - If filing MFJ, indicate if the form is for the taxpayer or spouse.
- Payer Information - Enter the Payer's EIN, name, and address.
- Total employee contributions - Enter the amount showing in Box 3.
- Total Gross Paid - Enter the amount showing in Box 7.
- Taxable Amount - The taxable amount is calculated using either the Simplified Method or the General Rule. Click the "Click here for options" link to go to the Simplified Method. See here for more information about this calculation.
- Does not carry to Form 8880 - The distribution carries to Form 8880 line 4 by default. If Form 8880 is not included in the tax return, then this isn't relevant, but if the saver's credit is being calculated on Form 8880 and this distribution should not carry to that form, check this check box. See the Form 8880 instructions for more info.
- Federal Income Tax Withheld - Enter the amount showing in Box 9.
- Check here to report on Form 1040, Line 1 - This box is checked for (a) a disability pension if the taxpayer hasn't reached the minimum retirement age set by their employer or (b) a corrective distribution.
