There are several ways to change the way the Client List displays in TaxSlayer Pro.
Customize which columns to display
Not all columns need to be displayed in the Client List. To select which columns you want to be displayed on the Client List, in the Quick Menu of TaxSlayer Pro select:
- Configuration
- Advanced Configuration
- Display Settings
- Edit Client's 1040 List
- Select Columns To Display On Client List
Check or uncheck the box(es) next to items you wish to show or hide in the Client List.
Customize the left-to-right order of the columns
You can also arrange the order of the columns in the Client List. In the Client List, click and hold the column heading name and drag the column header left or right to the preferred location in the list.
Note: If after dragging the column it disappears entirely, look for it on the right-hand side of the list.
Hide the Client List when starting a new return
If your clients can see your computer monitor, you may not wish to display the Client List. If you prefer not to see the Client List, in the Quick Menu of TaxSlayer Pro select:
- Configuration
- Advanced Configuration
- Display Settings
- Edit Client's 1040 List
- Start Return Using Client List - Change to NO
From this point on, each time you select Tax Returns in the Quick Menu you will be prompted to either enter the Taxpayer’s SSN or press Enter by itself to display the Client List.
Don't show the Client List along with the Quick Menu
To show only the Quick Menu, from the Quick Menu select:
- Configuration
- Advanced Configuration (Macros)
- Display Settings
- Display Client List on Main Menu - Change to NO
