In TaxSlayer Pro, to select or change the default printer as well as indicate that you would like returns to print to PDF rather than paper, from the Main Menu of TaxSlayer Pro select:

- Default Tax Printer - All printers installed on this computer will appear in a pick list. Select the printer you wish to use for general printing from within the program.
- Default Receipt Printer - If you are using the TaxSlayer Pro four-part receipt, a different printer can be specified to print the receipts if desired. In most cases, select the same printer as you have selected for the "Default Tax Printer".

Edit Printer Preferences
- Use Printer File Format #1 / #2 / #3 - Generally #3 is checked and rarely needs changing. Don't change to #1 or #2 unless directed by TaxSlayer Pro support.
- Use Thumbnails when viewing PDFs - If set to YES, when viewing a PDF in Adobe Reader the thumbnail column, showing a thumbnail of every page in the document, will display on the left hand side of the window as a navigation aid.
- Print From View Results Using Adobe - If set to YES, anything printed from View Results in a return will print to PDF, not paper.
- View All Printjobs - If set to YES, all prints will print to PDF, not paper.
- Pull Prior Year Printer Preferences - Select this to duplicate last year's printer preferences.
- Reset Printer Preferences to Defaults - Select to restore the default installation settings.
