In TaxSlayer Pro, return status tags are used to assist you in tracking and sorting individual tax returns from within the Client List.
Tags can be created for as many different items as you'd like and are assigned to returns based on your own criteria. Once an individual return has been assigned a return status tag, the tag displays for the return in the right-most column of the individual Client List.
To sort the individual Client List by return tags, scroll all the way to the right of the list and click the column heading Return Tags.
The return tags column can also be moved to a different location within the client list by simply clicking and holding the column header, then dragging it to the desired location in the list.
You can also filter the Client List to show only returns with tags, then print or export the list.

Printing a list of tagged returns
- In the Individual Client List, locate the Return Tags column and its button that looks like a filter.
- In the filters window that pops up, leave checked the return tag(s) you want to include in the report, and uncheck anything you don't want in the report. (In particular, be sure to uncheck the blank tag if it's there, which is the check box for returns that have no tag.) When finished, click the OK button.
- The client list now being filtered by the tag(s) you selected. Click either the Print button (to print the list to PDF or paper) or the Export button (to export the list to a CSV file suitable for importing into your spreadsheet program).
- In the window headed "Pick Columns", select the columns in the client list to include in the report. If you are printing, you'll be told if the columns you have chosen are too wide for the page being printed on. In that case you will want to either export fewer columns or switch to exporting the list to CSV.
When you're done with filtering and printing/exporting the client list, click the Clear Filters button at the bottom of the Client List to return it to its normal display.
