Form 8275 - Disclosure Statement (8275 & 8275-R) - Form 8275 is filed by individuals, corporations, pass-through entities, and tax return preparers to avoid penalties related to the return's accuracy and substance as well as preparer penalties. The form discloses items or positions that aren't adequately disclosed on the tax return, except for those taken contrary to regulation. If you are disclosing a position taken contrary to a regulation, use Form 8275-R, Regulation Disclosure Statement, instead of Form 8275.
