Uploaded
The scanned documents section of a tax return stores all documents that have either been uploaded by the preparer from the file location on the computer, or imported via TaxestoGo or Customer Portal. TaxSlayer ProWeb supports uploading the following file types: pdf, jpeg, jpg, png, gif, tiff, tif, doc, docx, xls, and xlsx.
Classified
FormGenius will attempt to classify the uploaded documents into categories that include:
- W-2
- W-4
- 1040
- 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-R, 1099-G, 1099-K, 1099-C, 1099-OID
- Drivers License
- Passport
- Social Security Card
Imported
Documents must have been classified by FormGenius in order to import them. If FormGenius was able to classify the document type, the data can be imported into the tax return. At this time, the following documents can be imported:
- W-2
- 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-R, 1099-G, 1099-C, and 1099-OID
