In TaxSlayer ProWeb, if a return being paper filed with a refund being paid by direct deposit shows bank information on Form 1040 masked with Xs, most likely the SSN/ITIN is also masked. They are masked due to a setting in the preparer's security role.
The security role setting "View full taxpayer SSNs" controls the visibility of not only the SSN/ITIN but also bank information. If the printed return shows all but the last four digits masked, this security setting is unchecked.
To give a preparer the ability to print a return with the SSN/ITIN and bank information unmasked, someone with the ability to modify security roles should edit the preparer's role and check the box next to "View full taxpayer SSNs". Changes to security roles take effect on the next login.
Note that in a multi-level office, masking is only a concern at the office level. The return can be printed with numbers unmasked at the company level.
