If your state requires you to charge sales tax for tax return preparation, the sales tax percentage to charge can be entered in the Advance Fee Setup Menu. From the main menu of the program select:
- Configuration
- Fees / Billing Setup
- Advanced Fee Setup
- Generate Sales Tax on Preparer Fee - Enter the sales tax % to be charged for the preparation of a tax return.
The amount entered will be charged based on your tax preparation fees and will display on the taxpayer's invoice.
