What is Software Purchase Assistance (SPA)?
A SPA, or Software Purchase Assistance Agreement is an interest free loan program designed by your chosen banking partner in which the bank assists you with the purchase of your TaxSlayer Pro software. The loan is repaid from your tax preparation fees withheld by the bank from IRS or State funded Refund Transfers.
How Do I Apply for Software Purchase Assistance (SPA)?
To apply for the SPA program, contact your TaxSlayer Pro sales manager and let them know. They will enter the amount of your requested SPA into your account and your bank will receive the request when you submit your ERO Enrollment Application from your TaxSlayer Pro Account Hub.
How Will I be Notified that I am Approved for Software Purchase Assistance (SPA)?
Your bank will notify you of their decision. Refund Advantage and EPS Financial customers can also check on your SPA approval status by logging in to your TaxSlayer Pro Account Hub. On the Banking Information tile, your SPA Status will display beneath your selected bank:
Note: Criteria used to determine eligibility by your chosen banking partner to receive assistance may include, and is not limited to prior year history preparing bank product returns, and exceeding your bank's funding requirement.
