When creating a preparer account in TaxSlayer ProWeb, if you see either of the above messages this means the email and/or cell phone number you are using is already tied to another TaxSlayer ProWeb account. Below you will find advice on how to remedy these errors.
Does another preparer in your office use the same email and/or phone number?
In the preparer record, you will see the options to "Allow Multiple Accounts to use this Email Address" and "Allow Multiple Accounts to use this Cell Phone". If the email address and/or phone number are being used by more than one preparer, make sure those check boxes are checked. If there is another preparer account within your office using the same email and/or phone number, ensure those check boxes are checked in their record.
Have you created an Employee Account for this preparer in your Account Hub?
When creating an Employee Account in Account Hub, you are required to enter an email address and cell phone number. If the email address and/or phone number are being used by more than one preparer, contact TaxSlayer Pro Support to have the email address and phone number released for multiple use.
Is the email or phone number not in another preparer account?
If you have not used the email address and/or phone number on any other account between ProWeb and Account Hub, it's possible the preparer has an existing TaxSlayer ProWeb or Account Hub record with a different tax office. Contact TaxSlayer Pro Support, and we can assist in allowing you to use the email and/or phone number for the new preparer account.
