TaxSlayer Pro Premium must be activated before the available options will appear in the program. The TaxSlayer Pro Program should automatically activate your Premium Version if your EFIN is entered correctly in the Configuration Setup Menu. From the Main Menu of TaxSlayer Pro select:
- Electronic Filing / Bank Setup
- Transmitter’s EFIN (Make sure your EFIN is entered correctly)
If the program does not automatically activate the premium features, you will need your Premium Activation Code that is listed in your Account Hub. To obtain your Premium Activation Code click here.
After the TaxSlayer Pro Premium Bundle has been activated in your program, the premium features can be configured from the Premium Configuration Menu.
Use the PaperCut Paperless Office Option?
This feature allows you to print and store copies of tax returns and all reports in PDF format instead of on paper. To activate this feature, change this menu option to YES.
Email Configuration Menu
The settings entered in the E-Mail Configuration Menu are specific to your e-mail provider. Contact your email provider to obtain the answers to some the specifics regarding your email provider's SMTP server settings. (ex: Server Address, Server Port Number, and whether a SSL is Required). These settings are unique to your email provider and are not known by your TaxSlayer Pro Technical Support Representative. If you choose to E-mail Indirect through TaxSlayer Pro (Default) your clients will NOT be able to reply back to your email, and you will NOT receive delivery failure notices.
Send Text Messages to Clients
Sending text alerts to your clients is a real time system that runs 24 hours a day. When you print a bank product check for a client they will be sent a text alert informing them that their check is ready to be picked up, regardless of the time of day. Make sure your clients are aware of your business hours. You are also required to keep on file the signed disclosure form that prints out, allowing you to send the text alerts to the client. By selecting YES you are agreeing to these terms.
Allow Signature Pad Options
This feature will apply the taxpayer's, spouse's and tax preparer's signature to all allowable forms with the use of a Topaz Signature Pad (purchased separately). Forms supported using the signature pad vary with each State and Bank. To activate this feature, change this menu option to YES.
Allow Handheld Barcode Scanner Options
This feature allows you to scan W-2s and other documents containing a 2D barcode directly into the program using a Motorola DS6707-SR USB model 2D barcode scanner (purchased separately). To activate this feature, change this menu option to YES.
